IPMS Telford 2013

Well since I live local to Telford I can’t miss out on this great even. I also thought Forgeworld were going so had to get their show only models (They weren’t there so missed out on them this year – doh!)

The show was the 50th anniversary and was packed full of traders, mainly concentrating on tanks, military busts, planes and boats with a smattering of fantasy miniatures.

The show and trade stands had definitely expanded this year and the turnout was amazing.  I enjoyed all the different IPMS clubs and they had some great displays of a Huey and a Vietnam style scene with guy in full uniform sitting mending his uniform etc.

Unfortunately I was only there the Saturday and missed the competition so there are no photos of the actual entries or winners this year.

The quality of sellers this year was excellent, and the prices are decent and competitive.  I found there to be a few new stands always offering something different as well as the standard model shop stands.  This year I was good and only picked up a bargain 10 offcuts plinths for £1.  Some new paints and modelling tools.

The standard of IPMS showcases was amazing as usual and I only wish I had more time to view some of them.  If you’re a keen modeller or thinking about getting back into the hobby than a visit to an IPMS show would certainly get you hooked again.

My review rating for the IPMS this year is 5 out of 5 stars.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the photos I took and if you were there and I spoke to you, it was nice to meet you 🙂
